MUSIC: Burna Boy becomes Nigerian artist with most charting songs in US Billboard history

Damini Ogulu, better known by his stage name Burna Boy, has surpassed Tems as the Nigerian artist with the most songs charted on the US Billboard Hot 100.

With the debut of Cold Play's "We Pray," which features him, LittleSimz, Elyanna, and TiniStoessel, on the chart this week, he broke a tie with Tems and won the feat.

'We Supplicate' appeared at No. 87 on the Hot 100 this week, bringing the total number of Burna Boy chart entries to six.

Tems has five sections on the diagram while Wizkid, who was the primary Nigerian craftsman to make a big appearance, has 4 restaurants.

Each of Rema, CKay, Davido, Fireboy, and Lojay has one entry.

Burna Boy is one song away from surpassing Seether of South Africa's record for the most Billboard Hot 100 chart entries by an African artist.
