Mbappe ‘investigated for rape’ in Sweden
Kylian Mbappe is being investigated for Rape by Swedish police, as per a paper report in Sweden following a visit by the Genuine Madrid star to Stockholm, which Mbappe reviled as "counterfeit news".
Expressen reported that 25-year-old Mbappe was the suspect after Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet reported that an alleged rape had been reported to police but did not specify who was the accused.
According to the newspaper, "Police are investigating the star who is reasonably suspected of rape and sexual assault" based on information obtained by Expressen.
The level of suspicion is categorized by Swedish law enforcement as either reasonable or probable, with reasonable representing the lower level of suspicion.
Mbappe claims he is owed 55 million euros ($60 million) by the Qatari-possessed French bosses.
"False Information! Mbappe posted, "On the eve of the hearing, it's becoming so predictable as if by chance."
AFP was told by a prosecutor who was looking into the accusation: A crime that was reported on October 10 in the center of Stockholm is currently under investigation.
When contacted by AFP, Mbappe's entourage stated that it was unaware of any legal complaint against him.
The French worldwide was not chosen for his country's most recent round of Countries Association matches, so visited the Swedish capital with a gathering last Thursday.
The Aftonbladet report says that they went to a nightclub after eating at a restaurant. On Friday, Mbappe and the group left Sweden.
The newspaper cited a formal complaint that was made to the police on Saturday and stated that a rape had occurred "in Stockholm city center."
Aftonbladet said the protest was documented after the supposed casualty had looked for clinical consideration yet didn't say who was named in the allegation.
Afterward, Expressen announced that Mbappe was the suspect.
