No space for pardons', express Libya as players train to play Nigeria
The Libyan Football Federation has stated that it will not accept the Nigeria Football Federation's justifications for boycotting the Super Eagles' second leg of the Group D 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifier.
The LFF made the announcement on its X handle on Tuesday after the Super Eagles and their officials left Libya after being stuck at Al Abaq Airport for more than 16 hours on Sunday due to an unanticipated detour, forcing Nigeria to pull out of the match that was originally scheduled for today.
LFF wrote, "Some may be used to putting up obstacles before the match, but here in the heart of Benghazi, specifically on the grounds of the Martyrs of Benina Stadium, there is no room for excuses after the starting whistle." They shared several photos of their players' training session.
"Photos from our national team's training at the Martyrs of Benina International Stadium in preparation for Tuesday night's match against Nigeria in the fourth round of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers."
